Rendez -Vous

As green enthusiasts we feel obliged when we meet people with the same frequency. Sometimes we just get a bit more lucky when we meet those who inspire us.

A few words from the interviews of men working towards green economy. We thank TGCC task GR 04 for motivating us to meet these extra ordinary men:

Dr. K. Balakrishna

Dr. Balakrishna was among the 3 men we interviewed and learned more about our responsibilities and contribution we can do to save the world.

"  At a student level, let us atleast have a clear conscience from our side, the importance of conserving the water bodies, the rivers. Now we are so careless we are not even thinking of the pollution in the rivers. Just by being concerned automatically you’ll tell your friends, family and it’s a chain reaction, they will also appreciate it. Students need to be concerned about the damage being caused to the environment today. That’s one reason why supreme court has recently asked all the colleges, be it engineering, arts commerce to teach environmental education at a graduation level. It is certainly a necessity, awareness has to come"
