

Land management is the process by which the resources of land are put into good effect. ; Improvement in the management of land is essential for the betterment of both rural and urban poor. Without the ownership development is impossible; may lead to urban blight due to inefficient management of land.

“Sustainable land management” has been defined as “a system of technologies and/or planning that
integrate ecological with
socio-economic and political principles in the management of land for
agricultural and other purposes to achieve intra- and inter generational equity”.
